Two thumbs up!

This was such an amazing powerful and beautiful love story. Actually to tell the truth it was 3 beautiful love stories all wrapped into one moral of the story which is love can be hard and forgiveness is a must. I love the way Natalie left a journal for Lisa, gosh to have something like that to read over and over again just to know how proud my parents were of me, how I came about, everything about my life with my parents. it would be worth more than anything in this world. What a wonderful idea! The lessons and love put into the journal are breathtaking. I cannot speak more highly of Mrs Fostino's writing style and this book, completely amazing! :)

A must read.

I was honored to receive this book at a release party, by Ms. Fostino, and am now an avid fan of hers. The following review is my honest opinion of this book, and dose not reflect not reflect on the fact that it was a gift.
Sometimes Love hurts, is a well written, classy, and fast paced book, I have had the pleasure of reading in a long time, it's more than a typical love story, but written with class, it reminds me a lot of the days when a love scene in an old black and white movie suggests what is about to happen, but fades to black, and goes to the next event.
It begins with the main characters, Crystal and Blake married for a year, and finds Crystal close to giving birth their first baby very soon. Blake has been working long hours at work for a quite a time, he is a restaurant manager, for a boss, Katherine that wants more from him than he is willing to give, but recently is demanding more of his time at work.His long hours at work, plus the fact that Crystal has met Katherine, combined with the fact that she finds lipstick on his collar while doing laundry, all adds in her mind to her husband having an affair, or is he?
Though there is a dangerous rain storm occurring on this night she cannot bear to stay in the home she shares with her husband. She leaves their home to go to the one place she knows she can find unconditional love and understanding, her parents house. It's there that the rain takes on it's own type of metaphor, as she learns about her family's journey through some hard times.
Ms. Fostino has found a way to write a book that is more than a love story between married couples, but instead spans the love of family, trust, and the imperfections in all of us, no matter what role you play in life. Understanding, and communication is the key to life, never walk away without sitting down, and working things out before it's too late.

Splendor amidst the sorrows.

I bought this book after coming across the author at a FB event. I was intrigued by the book name and the blurb.
This is a sweet story about the problems a young couple can come up against when communication fails and trust is damaged.
We meet our young couple, Crystal and Blake, during the beginning of their romance and through to their marriage. However, even thou both make sacrifices to spend time together, pregnancy changes quite a few things. And the restaurant Blake works for changes owners and life is upended. Take into account the Blake's new boss has the hots for him and trouble ensues. But there is a cool twist that sets Crystal mind into a whirlwind.
I enjoyed this story even with it's Christian overtones. There are many good messages and the title fits perfectly: Sometimes Love Hurts.
I whole heartily recommend this book!
