About the Author
Breathing Space was written by a pastor for pastors. Eric Willis is the Pastor of Reconciliation & Renewal at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in Carrollton, Texas. He is the founder and Executive Director of Reclaim Leadership, a ministry of encouragement to fellow ministers. Eric is a Certified Christian Conciliator through the Institute for Christian Conciliation, providing conflict coaching and biblical mediation. He is also a Certified Coach, Speaker, and Teacher with the John Maxwell Leadership Team. Eric has served in Christian ministry leadership for over 20 years and earned Masters Degrees in Christian Education and Marriage & Family Counseling.

Get Away on a Monthly Sabbatical Retreat with this Book

While there a tons of leadership books talking "to" leaders, this book is different because it actually invites leaders to stop and listen - listen to God's Word, listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Using a set of thougth provoking prompts, Breathing Space is a workbook to guide leaders in a monthly sabbatical retreat (a six hour block of uninterrupted time). As a seminary professor, the lack of sabbath is one of the greatest dangers in leaders today. Use this book to build "breathing space" into your life.

A breathe of fresh air for ministers

This is an excellent resource for a minister to pull aside, take inventory, and be challenged by God's Word. Eric has blended his unique approach to counseling with real life challenges to ministers to spend a day a month aside from the normal demands of the caregiving role. Well written and organized way to provide the self care all ministers need. A wonderful gift for the minister.
