This is an anniversary edition in which McKnight again asks not what the creedal confessions of the Christian church have been throughout its history but, rather, what Jesus' own creed might have been. Scot McKnight, Ph.D. is Professor of New Testament at Northern Seminary and the author of The Jesus Creed, 40 Days Living the Jesus Creed, and many other books. He lives with his wife, Kristen, in the Chicago suburbs.

Missing an Entire Section from Earlier Edition

I am thoroughly enjoying this book BUT I compared my copy to an earlier edition, and this edition is missing the entire fifth section. This has to be some kind of publishing error. I'm wondering if this is the case for every copy of this edition or if I got one that was a misprint.

McKnight Delivers from Darkness to Light

Just like McKnight's more recent book, "The King Jesus Gospel: The Original Good News Revisited" (2011), "The Jesus Creed" is a really remarkable recap of what biblical Christianity is at its core, viz., Loving God AND Loving Others, as its subtitle says. Furthermore, it fosters a practical understanding, appreciation of and application to one's personal growth in grace and love toward God and Neighbor---true "sanctification" in theological terms. Wonderful for daily living "Coram Deo" and for raising up children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. This dumb old MDiv guy for all his years of formal theological study (both Catholic & Protestant) wholeheartedly recommends these beautiful books for your spiritual satisfaction and encouragement in these evil days.
