She also is a major chocoholic and loves chick flicks, coffee, and cold winter days. Erynn is married to her best friend, Jon O’Brien, and lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Great Read!!!

The third installment of the Maya Davis series was excellent! It was hard to put this book down due to the witty humor and excellent writing! It was a perfect way to wrap up this story!
We find Maya in the middle of quite a few situations where she has to learn about trusting the Lord. Erynn Mangum has made these characters so realistic and personal that you feel as if you're experiencing these trials and situations right along with them! This book is full of good Biblical principles and lessons, especially for those of us trying to figure out how to place our trust in God when it goes against everything we might want.
I would recommend this book to absolutely anyone. I believe it'd be just about impossible for you not to enjoy it! Great read!

Worth the wait, rush, and possible confusion...

I'm not usually one to sit on edge for a book release... and few authors can capture me enough to truly follow closely such news... but Erynn Mangum captured my heart & mind right away with her first series, and this one (Maya Davis) was no different. I actually found myself refreshing my email around midnight... waiting for the email from amazon showing a receipt for my pre-ordered kindle copy... then rushed upstairs and snuggled in for a good read!
This book, the culmination of a trilogy (while each book can easily stand alone, but I'm a sucker for lovable characters and always want to know MORE of their stories!), did not disappoint in the least. Not only was I taken for an emotional roller-coaster (isn't that what chick-lit is supposed to do?), but I found myself questioning my own life and reactions to it throughout Maya's own struggles.
Including some incredible, almost tough to swallow, lessons... the most laugh-out-loud one liners I've read in a while (my highlighting finger got busy!)... and a beautiful story of love, life, and how it's supposed to play out... this is a wonderful story, the cherry on-top, of a beautiful series!

DOUBLE SHOT is the third book in the A Maya Davis Novel series and I’m sorry to see this couple go. Readers will want to read Cool Beans and Latte Daze first, but there is enough back story included so new readers won’t get lost.
Maya and Jack are about the cutest couple ever. Maya is stressed with planning a wedding, a premature nephew, a new coworker, a move, and so much more all happening at once. Just about everything that can rate high on the Holmes and Rahe Stress Scale, all happening at once.
There are some inconsistencies in the series – and in the book – which would’ve been caught by a good critique partner. Or even a read-through by the author.
Jack is so sweet and considerate, and patient with Maya, who is a bit of a drama queen. I loved DOUBLE SHOT and the whole series. Written in first person/present tense. My teenage daughters are reading this series now.
