Excellent primer on the roots of the Catholic Worker paper ...

Excellent primer on the roots of the Catholic Worker paper and the movement it fostered through the jottings of Dorothy Day, one its co-founders. This is a reprint commemorating the 75th anniversary of publication of the original. This edition features an excellent preface by Cardinal Timothy Dolan and a well-structured introduction by the editor, Lance Richey. Highly recommend.

House of Hospitality may just be a lot of "random notes" (as Dorothy Day said) and not particularly well-organized,
but for knowledge of and insight into the early years of The Catholic Worker and its Houses of Hospitality and of
Dorothy Day herself it is superb and very rewarding.
