This mini-book is unique in that June Hunt lived the role of one who had to care for her ailing mother who, late in life developed multiple, debilitating diseases. June Hunt writes with a tender heart toward those who must deal with Chronic, life threatening illnesses and disabilities as well as those who must endure, day after day with serious health challenges.

It begins with a letter to the reader. June Hunt tells us about her experience caring for her mom. I can promise you, you’ll be touched by it. What follows is an introductory story about a girl disabled because of an accident—this sets the stage and the Joni’s story threads throughout. (You probably have heard of Joni.)

Here’s what you’ll learn from June Hunt: characteristics of those afflicted with a chronic or disabling illness, causes of resentment, bitterness, and steps to solution.

Powerful Help to Parents

I really appreciated having the opportunity to read this book. I felt that it truly added to my devotional time by giving me specific things to pray about and for my girls.

I can not stress enough the power of prayer in our lives, in our family and in this great, parenting endeavor to raise our kids for Jesus. Having a book that not only aides us in praying but gives us exact scriptures to pray is a huge help. I felt that each day my eyes were opened to new ways of praying for my kids and new prayers to pray over their hearts.

I will mention that the scripture references listed in parenthesis directly in to the actual prayer part of the book was a little bit distracting. I'm not sure how that could have been formatted better but the constant references made reading and praying the prayers a little bit confusing at times. I would be curious to see the actual print book to see if it has the same feel as it did on my kindle.

With that said, I also appreciated the scripture references because as I read and prayed new things, I was able to quickly look the verse up in my Bible.

So, although my issue might have just been the formatting of my copy on an e-reader, I wanted to mention it for those who might also find that a little difficult or distracting to read.

This book is a wonderful tool to encourage parents to pray for their children. I was wanting to pray for my boys more and came across this book. It has been so encouraging and beautiful to be able to lift my children up in prayer. I love them so much and want so much for them. Prayers for Your Children has been the perfect jumpstart for me to pray more often for them. I highly recommend this book for all parents and grandparents who want to develop a deeper prayer life with their husband or wife to pray for their children or grandchildren.

Mystery of the Priesthood and the Blood

I really enjoyed this book. I have been studying along these lines for many years, gleaning what I could from our Jewish roots. But Perry came up with things in this book I had never heard from anyone else. I like that he proves things from Scripture (connects the dots) to get to his conclusions, but also states when he is speculating on what could possibly be a truth.

Best teaching on the Lamb of God

Awesome book. I love it so much I had to buy another when my loaned copy did not come back. Detailed facts that provide further proof that Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God. It brings a deep understanding of the Gospel that would not be known without the Hebraic knowledge. I would highly recommend this piece and to buy copies for others.

The Priesthood & the Blood

This book was absolutely fascinating. I read it after the Breath of the Holies and I recommend purchasing both. It contains good detailed information about the temple and the furniture in the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. It explains that blood was required for the atonement for souls. What I found most interesting was the reason why blood was necessary to cleanse the temple in heaven. The Author also stated that Adam's blood came from God, a thought I never considered, which makes it holy prior to his act of sin. A comparison was made between Adam and Christ and they both had no earthly father. He did a beautiful job of explaining the animal sacrifices which pointed to the Lamb of God, showing how these sacrifices pointed to the death of the Messiah and how the previous prophesies also pointed to the suffering of the Messiah. The information built up to a crescendo with evidential support that Jesus is the Messiah and ended with an appendix on the Melchizedek priesthood.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. There were some details the author addressed that I thought were unnecessary, however as I continued reading I came to appreciate it as the significance was explained. Excellent book, two thumbs up.
