Mystery of the Priesthood and the Blood

I really enjoyed this book. I have been studying along these lines for many years, gleaning what I could from our Jewish roots. But Perry came up with things in this book I had never heard from anyone else. I like that he proves things from Scripture (connects the dots) to get to his conclusions, but also states when he is speculating on what could possibly be a truth.

Best teaching on the Lamb of God

Awesome book. I love it so much I had to buy another when my loaned copy did not come back. Detailed facts that provide further proof that Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God. It brings a deep understanding of the Gospel that would not be known without the Hebraic knowledge. I would highly recommend this piece and to buy copies for others.

The Priesthood & the Blood

This book was absolutely fascinating. I read it after the Breath of the Holies and I recommend purchasing both. It contains good detailed information about the temple and the furniture in the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. It explains that blood was required for the atonement for souls. What I found most interesting was the reason why blood was necessary to cleanse the temple in heaven. The Author also stated that Adam's blood came from God, a thought I never considered, which makes it holy prior to his act of sin. A comparison was made between Adam and Christ and they both had no earthly father. He did a beautiful job of explaining the animal sacrifices which pointed to the Lamb of God, showing how these sacrifices pointed to the death of the Messiah and how the previous prophesies also pointed to the suffering of the Messiah. The information built up to a crescendo with evidential support that Jesus is the Messiah and ended with an appendix on the Melchizedek priesthood.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. There were some details the author addressed that I thought were unnecessary, however as I continued reading I came to appreciate it as the significance was explained. Excellent book, two thumbs up.

About the Author
Andrew Murray (1828–1917) was a South African writer, teacher, and Christian pastor. Murray considered missions to be "the chief end of the church." Andrew pastored churches in Bloemfontein, Worcester, Cape Town and Wellington, all in South Africa. He was a champion of the South African Revival of 1860. In 1889, he was one of the founders of the South African General Mission (SAGM), along with Martha Osborn and Spencer Walton. After Martha Osborn married George Howe, they formed the South East Africa General Mission (SEAGM) in 1891. SAGM and SEAGM merged in 1894. Because its ministry had spread into other African countries, the mission's name was changed to Africa Evangelical Fellowship (AEF) in 1965. AEF joined with SIM in 1998 and continues to this day. He died on January 18, 1917, four months before his eighty-ninth birthday. Over the years he has influenced many, including Jessie Penn-Lewis, a key figure in the 1904-1905 Welsh Revival.

Amazing!

The writings of this book are sorely needed in Christendom today! Murray lays out the truth of the New Testament in a way that is both clear and concise, leaving the Christian empowered to become the person that God intends them to be! I would recommend this book to any true Christian who is honestly seeking to become like Christ.

The Book of Daniel (12:4) has a striking passage implying that in the end times knowledge will grow: "But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." I believe that it is "here" to Amazon.com I have come to discover this excellent book which increases knowledge of the end times. Bonnie Gaunt, to me, is a modern day archaeologist who has sifted the pages of the Bible, washing away the layers of truth with tears of joy realizing her discoveries. Her 30 years of studying the Holy Scriptures relative to God's numbers reveals the messages in numeric codes, hidden within God's Words. Sir James Jeans (1877-1946) noted "From the intrinsic evidence of His creation, The Great Architect of the Universe now begins to appear as a pure mathematician." Bonnie Gaunt demonstrates this fact convincingly relative to the Word of God. I have studied Bible prophecy for more than 20 years. This is one of the best books that I have read on the subject. Interesting. I liked the part on the stars as well as the Hebrew nubering system. Missed the date for JC's return. Date has come and gone. Six days will be up about 2248,more or less. Over all, a good read.
